Davor´s ring

Knights and Ladies,
It was on July 11, 2008 that we had to take notice of the fact that our fellow brother and President of the chapter Blue Knights Croatia I, Davor Javorski, passed away as a consequence of a traffic accident he was involved in on his way from office back home.
Davor was not only an outstanding police officer but also a pioneer of the Blue Knights in southeast Europe – and a loving husband to his wife and father of two children. All of them he was forced to leave back when he changed to chapter “Heaven I”…
Davor rode the “iron butt” and was on his way to meetings all over Europe all the time the Blue Knights existed in Croatia. He was an example of knighthood and no one knocked on his door in vain.
Thinking about a possibility to help the surviving dependants of his very close friend, the Treasurer of the Blue Knights European Conference, Werner “Ully-Bear” Ully from BK Austria I, had an idea – the idea of “Davor’s ring”.
Remembering that Davor was always a long-distance-biker, he thought it might be a fine idea to found something like a “Blue Knights iron butt” in memory of Davor – and to pass the proceeds to his widow and the children in order to help them to solve a little bit at least financial problems.
Joining this idea is very simple:
Get on your bike and drive 1.200 km within 24 hours, visit two BK chapters besides your own and be able to prove that you did it. That and the necessary fees to Ully-Bear is all you have to do to give a helping hand to Davor’s family.
Later on, you are entitled to wear “Davor’s ring” with pride. Join the community of those who already did it and find more about it on this site.
