Since 2022 Pawel Piwkowski and Blue Knights chapter Poland I work continiously in charity for ukraninien Kids.
Additionally they helped our Brothers of Ukraine I with all things they need. Here you may read his report:
“As we know, the war starts on February 24, 2022. It will soon be two years since this tragic moment. During this time, we organized 12 trips directly to the border to help refugees during the first wave of escape, and later to focus on supporting BK Ukraine I.
The photos cannot convey what we saw during the first two trips... Fear, terror, a sense of hopelessness and, on the other hand, the full determination of help and support provided by Poles.
First departure On March 7, 2022, we provided the necessary assistance to the border crossing in Dorohusko, Zosin, to refugee registration points and to the aid point in Janow.
The second trip on March 13, 2022, in the same direction and destination. Additionally, we donated military equipment.
Another trip on November 22, 2022, meeting with Vasyl Korolov, we donated life-saving medical equipment, apples, food, warm clothes and bedding. Made together with BK PL III.
Christmas trip on December 27, 2022, meeting with Vasyl, we donated nearly 100 parcels for children, food and clothes and medicines.
During subsequent trips, we delivered, among others, 800 kg of apples, medicines, painkillers, tourniquets, and money from the sale of coins at BK rallies and others.
To sum up, all trips cover nearly 20,000 km and about 30 days of travel. We also provided support for animals - 1,000 kg of food for dogs and cats.
It is worth emphasizing the participation of John Gray from BK Wales and Tim Poat from BK England IV in our campaign.
A separate paragraph should be devoted to John and Jan from Kirsty's Kids org /members of Scotland II who went directly to the front line with humanitarian aid. Thanks to the support of BK PL I in Wrocław and Chełm, they were able to complete the trip, repair the vehicle and rest on the way to and from home.

It must be added, that the last turn to the border took place January 17th 2024 over more than 300 km on icy roads and snowfall. Pawel and his friends returned well and healthy without incident. More than 250 families have had the chance to receive assistance. They are all refugees from eastern Ukraine.
