It was back in mid-July when I got an email from our Vice-Chairman. A young woman had reached out through the contact form on blueknights.de with what she called an "unusual request." (You can find the original version of Luis's report here)

Dear Blue Knights,
dear families and friends,
An eventful motorcycle summer is slowly drawing to a close. The first leaves are beginning to fall, the days are getting shorter, and the first touch of autumn can already be felt in the cooler mornings.
Behind us are many wonderful, though at times exceptionally hot, riding days. During our travels across Europe, we once again experienced what makes our community so special: shared miles, warm encounters, genuine friendship, and the feeling of being welcomed wherever Blue Knights come together.

We're excited to announce the launch of BK-Event, a new web-based event management system built specifically for the Blue Knights European Conference.
Organizing a multi-day motorcycle club event involves a lot of moving parts: registrations, accommodation planning, schedules, task lists, staff communication, and emergency preparedness, often juggled across spreadsheets, emails, and paper lists. BK-Event was developed to bring all of this together in one place, making event organization easier and less error-prone for the volunteers who put in the work behind the scenes.

Some of you may have noticed that our interactive Chapter Locator map was temporarily showing a placeholder image instead of the actual map. This was caused by a change on the side of our third-party map tile provider, which began requiring an access key for their map service.
We're happy to report that the issue has now been resolved, and the Chapter Locator map is fully back online and working as expected.
Thank you for your patience, and as always, feel free to reach out if you notice anything else that doesn't look right on the site.
